Imagine a time when the universe aligns to double the power of nature. That moment is upon us with the Summer Solstice and the Strawberry Full Moon.
These are not random events of celestial occurrences; they are opportunities for spiritual growth and transformation. Alone they are powerful, but together their energies can dramatically enhance your spiritual journey.
This Summer Solstice arrives on June 20th, the earliest Summer Solstice since 1796. It marks the official start of summer and is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.
The Summer Solstice (from the Latin terms “Sol” sun and “Stice” to stand still) depict when the sun seems to pause in her celestial journey as she reaches to her highest Zenith in the sky and appears to be standing still. On the other hand, this Full Moon, which arrives on June 21st, hangs lower than normal and reflects not pink (Strawberry Full Moon), but the color gold, the reflected light from the earth.
Spiritually the Summer Solstice has been celebrated for her power and renewal. When nature is at its most significant restorative energy. Long days, more brightness and power.
The Full Moon arrives in the first degree of Capricorn (hard work ambition and discipline) it is a Strawberry moon and focuses on career and aspirations (feel a sense of productivity) Capricorn will help you stay grounded and focused – to take practical steps towards your goals.
It is the most powerful moon yet -it’s the 1/2-way point in the year and asks us to reflect – Where were we this time last year? Who have we become? What have we not let go of? Being in the first degree it marks the beginning. A new beginning is always a time to let go and begin fresh in our minds. This is how we create our reality.
Opposite the moon is the Sun in the First degree of Cancer (emotional, past, trauma, childhood wounds). This moon cycle is a time to reflect about our childhood and the limited thinking bestowed upon us that can cause an emotional rollercoaster – we get our main programs from 0-7 years old. The rollercoaster, the one we have been riding on throughout life. It can keep us from doing what we want to do. We need to let go of the past and its limited thinking models.
Full moon is squaring Neptune (squaring means blocking). Neptune is a planet of spirituality. Squaring creates internal illusions and Full Moon (expansion) helps us to identify the illusions that we are living in around work, relationships, etc. and letting go of past traumas that may be causing the rollercoasters repeating cycles in these areas.
One last thought, during Cancer Season, beware of how your emotions are ruling your life (fun example: I want to go for a run and your emotions tell you are sad now so eat chocolate instead) no holding back – learn to be bold and face the challenges that start within us – we are here now to face all of this – with Saturn in Pisces we have the support to help us breakthrough and move on with your life.
Enjoy!
