The New Moon is the Darkness that heels…. the Darkness that discovers… and the Darkness that reveals.
We welcome the New Moon in Gemini today, Thursday, June 6th.
Each month, I am reminded that with the New Moon I get to plant new seeds, and once a month I begin to grow a new me :)
This New Moon is special as Jupiter has entered Gemini. Jupiter is the biggest planet in our Solar System and has begun it’s 12-year cycle entering each sign for one year. This is a planet of abundance, expansion and new opportunities. Jupiter, coupled with the New Moon, opens our eyes to the expansive opportunities that lay before us as we plant our seeds.
The new Moon is always with the sun at 16 degrees. This month, we also have Venus and Gemini at 16 degrees
Venus is the second most prosperous planet with the most amazing Goddess energy – arts, beauty, Devine Feminine, finances, and pleasures of life!!
Additionally, the ruler of Gemini is Mercury, the Devine Messenger Mercury, a planet of communication, and also, a manifesting planet …. what we think, is how we speak, how we speak is what we create, and what we create is who we become. Its archetype is the Devine Messenger and Comedian. Therefore, Mercury brings in energy that will effect our:
Intellect,
ideas,
social,
fun, and
jokes (mine can use a bit of work)
What will you think? What seeds will you plant? How will mercury and Venus affect your choices and seeds?
On the other hand, too much mind energy with Venus and Mercury, makes us task oriented, one thing after another.
Ie: me as I woke up this past Sunday – get up, drink coffee- I have to run, after my run, I have to eat, then yoga? A walk in the afternoon? more yoga? Practice golf 😬 phew!
While being in my head with all of my tasks as I began my day, I went out on a that run. From the get-go, Mother Nature joined me , prompting me to get out of my head. She began by throwing a Lynx in at the first turn of the trail – that grabbed my attention! As I turned around and ran the opposite direction, I ran into a rattlesnake on the path – ugh! I then finished my run going through a tunnel with hundreds of birds, sweeping down around me. I had to laugh! “Enough Mother Nature, our conversation is done. I got the message – get out of my head and be present!”
If we are always in our head, what’s the point? We are missing out on living and knowing ourselves. It’s not what we have, but who we are.
If that’s not a good enough reminder, another reason to get out of your head, we have 5 planets in Gemini – crazy mind energy:
- confusion
- mental focus
- changing moods
- bipolar energy
You know what I love about the moon cycles? It brings awareness back to me. In this ever changing, frenetic crazy life, we live in the ego outside of our bodies and in our heads, listening to others about what we should look like, what we should be doing with our lives, and how we should be living it.
Following the Moon cycles has brought me back to me. It has reminded me that the choices are all mine. The decisions I make about myself and how I want to show up in the world, has everything to do with taking the time to discover who I am…
This week, plant your seeds everywhere! I can’t wait to meet this newer version of you!

Nice. ;)
